There Are No Fences

There Are No FencesDriving back from a presentation a song came on the radio that hearkened back to my youth.  I caught myself singing along to the line, "And the sign says you got to have a membership card to get inside".  I just took a moment to look it up.  It was released by The Five Man Electrical Band in 1970.  Even though it was over 40 years ago I can still feel the defiant surge I felt back then at 15 towards what we called "the establishment".  "You can't keep us out" was the cry of a generation bent on changing the world.  Over all of these years here is what I have learned.  None of us need accept that we are locked out.  What stops us are not signs or fences but thoughts of limitation.  "I can't lose the weight. I can't become financially independent.  I can't spend more time with my kids.  I can't change the world".  Those things that stop us in life you see are not real.  They are doubts and fears and ailments of the mind.  Know this.  The signs are not real.  "There are no fences.  All that you can see is yours to experience".  Have an excellent day.   Be well,   Randy Taylor   Buy The Books!
