Anything Is Possible When You Have Faith

Anything Is Possible When You Have Faith
My little girl will turn 6 in the spring. Amazing how time marches on.  Last week and I was looking through pictures and mementos that have gathered along the way. Going through everything I cam across this perspective that was written 5 years ago and wanted to share it with you. Here it is.
We often reflect on the perceived challenges in life and question the possibility of our hopes and goals and dreams. It is this very questioning of what is possible that creates the greatest obstacle we will likely ever face. At 1:45 on a Friday morning, my Faith was strengthened and will unquestionably impact my life in the coming years in ways I can't yet comprehend. Faith for me is no longer just an ethereal psychological commitment. Faith is now my daughter. Faith Ella to be exact. I won't gush, but if we do meet up, know that I have pictures. She made her entry into this world lightly tipping the scales at 6 pounds, 7 ounces. You are no doubt thinking that it makes sense that I would name my daughter Faith, given what I do everyday. The truth is that the name Faith was chosen by her mother more than 20 years ago. This little girl, broke a stalwart chain of 6 boys in a row to become the first and only girl on my wife's side. The enormous leap of faith it took to bring her mom and I together still feels surreal. To detail every aspect of faith that was required to bring me to this point in time would fill a modest library.
I sat with my sister-in-law, Laina that night after visiting hours were over, talking about all of this and here is what came of it. We realized how fascinating it is that no matter how often faith is rewarded, we return again and again to the well of despair and question the legitimacy of one more goal or one more step up the mountain. I can't question it ever again. It may seem quirky, but there is a stork on my front lawn proclaiming the arrival of "Faith" into this world on March 20th, the first day of spring. This simple proclamation and her pending impact on this world over the next one hundred years or so has burned it crystal clear into my mind of just what is possible. What is possible for her and for me and for you and for everyone. For all of it. This is all you need know. Anything is possible when you have Faith. Have an excellent day.
Be well,
