Just Write It Down

There are things we can do in life that have a questionable affect on what we can achieve.  There are others that can be measured.  At the top of the list is the power of the written word.  The simple act of capturing a thought on paper and proposing a step that will move us forwards, even in the smallest way possible, is the spark that creates the combustion between the dream and it's reality.  I was speaking at a sales conference last week and we were talking about those things that have the potential to breathe life into dreams.  I relayed the story that it was not far from the conference center in Niagara on The Lake where this all began for me.  Some 18 years ago, alone one a Sunday afternoon while on a bike ride I stopped at a lookout over the Niagara River.  Taking in that magnificent view I took out a blank notebook and began to write in point form all I knew and believed about personal growth and development.  I remember thinking that perhaps one day these ideas could form the outline for a book.  Little did I know, but those simple two pages of notes would morph into a book that would launch a career that allows me to share philosophies and ideas through seminars and coaching programs to everyone from street youth to the CEO's of the countries fortune 500 companies.  Here is Perspectives - Where you are now has nothing to do with where you can go by Randy Taylor of Taylormade Leadership @TheWinnerWithin (Social)what I know for sure.  When you have an idea and you take the time to take it out of your heart and put it down on paper something magical happens.  It begins to breathe on its own.  To take shape and form and substance.  Know this. If you want your dreams to become your life do this. Just write it down.  Have an excellent day. Randy Taylor
