Growth is evident in the mirror

Growth is evident in the mirror.  One of the great challenges when considering embarking on a new direction with new goals and dreams is to first get the mind to buy into it.  After all, it is belief that is the single greatest tool involved in the success process.  Here is where you should look for inspiration.  In the mirror.  I want you to consider for a moment the current job you are in. Then consider this.  What if the person you were on the first day when you stepped into your new career had a chance to interview you today and was able to find out just how much you know and how skilled you have become in this area?  Here's the truth. They would be absolutely amazed.  "Really, I learned all of that?  I have become this knowledgeable.  How did I do that?"   The answer of course is one day at a time.  The incredible realization is that you did this. You and only you.  Personal growth I think is hard to buy into for many people for this reason.  Because life unfolds one minute, one hour and one day at a time, it's hard to actually see ourselves grow. It's comparable to how we view children.  If the children are our own and live with us, eat with us and are there everyday leaving wet towels on the bathroom floor we don't actually notice them growing.  If, on the other hand, they are someone else's and we only see them once or twice a year, we invariably become the quintessential obnoxious adults who pinch their cheeks and exclaim, "Look at how big you have gotten".    Be that person who once in a while drops in on your life and take notice of just how much you've grown.  The truth is you are the only inspiration you will ever need.  Just look in the mirror.  Have an excellent day,
